Rose and Carnation Posy by Sandra Miles

This is very simple once you have practised a couple of times and makes a sweet little Victorian style posy

Level: Easy

Ingredients:

2 packs mini white carnations BN0108
1 bunch pink roses B1495
7mm cream organza ribbon
silver florist wire

Step One

Start with a rose in the centre, add a circle of alternating roses and carnations - secure with a little bit of florist wire about an inch down the from the flower heads.

Step Two

Form a second circle all the way round - make the second circle a little lower by bending the flower outwards a tiny bit, try and put a carnation where there was a rose in the first circle to help the mix of flowers in the posy. Securing with wire as you need to.

Step Three

Cut off the end of the silver wire to tidy - tie a length of 7mm organza to hold the posy firmly. Make an organza bow with long trailing ends and tie or glue onto the bunch.

Step Four

Trim the excess green wired stems to make the posy neat and tidy.
