Instructions for the Acrylic Pieces

Ideas for using the Acrylic pieces in Cardmaking and for tags and Bookmarks

First remove both the brown protective paper from both sides of the acrylic – if you find it tricky – try using the end of some tweezers to get a small piece lifted up and then just pull back.

Start by stamping a whole image – or just part of an image – some words – one word – whatever takes your fancy from your rubber stamp collection, onto the Acrylic piece, using Staz-on inkpads.

Then on the same side as the stamping, press a Versamark embossing pad carefully and evenly over the acrylic and then cover with some coloured embossing powder. Heat as usual.

If you have used words – emboss the side that means you will be able to read the words correctly – it’s not important whether you emboss the same side as the stamping or the opposite side – reading the words on the finished piece is all that matters!

To finish the little piece, either edge with a gold/silver pen touch pen or place some 6mm red liner tape onto the edge – leaving a small amount equally each side to fold over, so that you have a sticky edge and border all round. Then dip into glitter of your choice.

These little pieces can then be placed as a focal point of a card, as bookmarks and gift tags and as hanging sun catcher ornaments or for Christmas trees – it’s your choice. They do look very effective placed on a piece of mirri card to give them a mirrored border around them – and once you get experimenting you’ll be hooked like I am!
