Materials

Instructions are included for making this card using either 3 sheets of A4 card or 1 sheet of A3 card.

3 A4 sheets of JS Elegance Satin 300gsm card or 1 A3 sheet of card approx.250/300gsm.
3 A4 sheets JS Elegance Satin 160gsm paper.
1 A4 sheet JS gold Mirri card.~
Approx ½ metre JS Dotty Satin Ribbon 10mm wide.
Sticky stuff – I used double sided tape and Pinflair glue gel.
JS Jane Shasky, From the Heart of the Garden CD set. I used an image from the Mixed Floral section of CD2.

Step One

Using the From the Heart of the Garden, CD2, and 160gsm Elegance Satin paper, print out a page of toppers, a sentiment and a coordinating insert.

If you wish to personalize the sentiment, “how to” is explained on the CD. It also explains how to import the sentiment into a word processing or graphics programme and re-size it. The sentiment which should be mounted onto a piece of gold mirri card, should measure approximately 4.25cms diameter.

Use the second sized topper and mount it onto gold mirri card. When mounted it should measure approximately 11.25cms square.

Step Two

These instructions are for making the card using 3 x A4 sheets of JS Elegance Card.

Cut one piece of card 29.7cms x 17cms.

Cut two pieces of card 29.7cms x 12.5cms.

Score all pieces of card as shown.

Apply double sided tape (shown in pink) to both the 29.7cms x 12.5cms pieces of card.

Stick them underneath the 2cms sections on the larger piece of card, ensuring that when the pieces are joined the scorelines can still be folded.

When joined together the card should measure 38cms x 29.7cms.

Step Three

Cut a sheet of A3 card to measure 38cms x 29.7cms. Landscape orientation score as shown (in red and blue). Do not fold.

If you are using A4 card, your vertical score lines are already scored. Turn the card to landscape orientation and score in half horizontally.

Step Four

Using the centre horizontal score line as a guide measure as shown and cut away the green lines, removing the green shapes. Score the red lines.

Step Five

Mountain fold the red lines and valley fold the blue lines.

Step Six

Shows the card when folded.

Step Seven

Mount the topper on the centre panel. Decorate the back of the card with a small topper.

Cut a piece of insert measuring approximately 14.6cms x 12.5cms and attach to the inside of the card.

Use the remaining piece of the insert to make mats for the side panels of the card. You will need two measuring approximately 4.5cms x 10.5cms and two measuring approximately 3cms x 8cms when mounted onto mirri card. Attach to the side panels.

Fix the ribbon to the front of the card.

Step Eight

Decorate the larger panels with pansies, cut from the remaining toppers on the toppers sheet.

This card will fit in a C5 envelope.
