Materials

8” x 8” white scalloped card blank.
2 A4 sheets of JS Elegance 300gsm Card or JS Elegance 160gsm Paper.
Approximately 1mtr JS Dotty Lilac Satin Ribbon.
Sticky Stuff – I used, Double Sided Tape, Red Liner Taper, Foam Pads and Pinflair Glue Gel.
JS House Mouse Project Book and CD Rom.

Step One

Print out the decoupage and matching backing sheet. The topper over sails the card and if you are using 160gsm paper you will need an extra sheet of card to mount the topper on, before sticking it to the card.

Step Two

Open out an 8” x 8” scalloped card and cut in half along the score line. With the plain edge of the card at the right-hand side, score diagonally as shown.

Step Three

Cut out the number of decoupage layers you wish to use, and if you have printed the decoupage using 160gsm paper, mount the largest topper onto a piece of 300gsm card to reinforce it.

Cut a piece of backing paper 7.5” x 7.5” and cut in half diagonally to create a triangle.

Step Four

Mount the backing paper on the front of the card.

Using foam pads attach the bottom layer of the topper to the front of the card.

Step Five

Using Red Liner tape position and attach to the card as illustrated. Do not remove the backing strip. Remove the backing strip as the ribbon is positioned. If you wish to pleat the ribbon, a pokey tool will help to make the pleats.

Attach the remaining layers of decoupage to the card.

Step Six

To make a rosette cut a piece of ribbon 10cms long and gather along one edge using a running stitch. Commence the running stitch approximately 5mm from the side edge.

After gathering the ribbon, sew together the raw edges at the back of the rosette.

Attach the rosette to the bottom left-hand corner of the card.

This card will fit in an 8” x 8” envelope, which comes with the card blank.
