Donald Zolan Cardmaking Pad Birthday card

Materials

8 x 8 card blank
Dark green card
Light blue card
Beige or pale gold card
Floral paper of your choice (greens and yellows work well)

Thomas Kinkade triple CD (for ocean paper)
Donald Zolan cardmaking collection pad 2

Green ribbon
Foam pads
Double sided tape
Pinflair Glue gel

Step One

Cut a piece of floral paper around 18.5 cm and mount onto the dark green card with double sided tape, leaving a 2mm border.

Step Two

Again using double sided tape, mount this onto your card blank.

Step Three

Using the Thomas Kinkade CD set, print out the ocean backing paper. You will find this on CD2 under backing papers and then under painting extracts.

Step Four

Cut the ocean backing paper to measure approx 10.5 cm x 18.5 cm. Mount this onto light blue card using foam tape, leaving a 2mm border. This should fit while still showing the green border on the backing card – if not, just trim to fit.

Step Five

Cut a square of light blue card approx 11.5 cm and mount a square of gold card onto that, again leaving a small border. Mount this onto the ocean strip using foam tape, about 2cm from the top.

Step Six

Cut out the image of the boy at the beach and either mount it onto some more light gold card or leave as it is and mount at an angle using foam tape.

Step Seven

Cut out the decoupage piece showing the little boy and attach to the card with Pinflair glue gel. Finish your card by cutting out the label, mounting this onto light gold card and adding a ribbon. Also cut out the sentiment and mount this onto light gold card. Attach both as shown with foam tape.
