Step One

Using some JS Gentle Gloss photo paper, print out the main image from Project 13 on the CD.

Using some JS 160gsm Elegance Satin Paper, print out the matching backing sheet.

Step Two

Inkjet acetate is a clear acetate sheet usually size A4. It has a white approx. 1.5cm wide band across the top of the sheet, which is fed into the printer first, and a rough and a smooth side to the touch. The ink is laid down on the rough side. Because the smooth side of the acetate is the right side (once printed) the typed text has to be mirrored before printing, as shown.

Create the overlay acetate sentiment, using a word processing or graphics programme. I used Paint which comes with Windows and can be found under Accessories on the Start Menu.

Using Paint, size the text, choose the colour, and type your text. Create your mirror image as shown.

Some printers also have the facility to print mirror images. Check your print dialogue box.

If your printer is a front feed, place the acetate in the tray, rough side facing downwards.

If your printer is a rear feed, place the acetate in the tray, rough side facing upwards.

Step Three

Trim the acetate to fit the image, allowing a 2cms wrap over the top edge of the image. Crease the wrap and attach to the back of the image using double sided tape.

Mount the image onto a piece of Mars Stardream Card approx. 14cms x 18cms.

Mount the topper onto a piece of backing paper 18cms x 19cms.

Fix to the front of the card blank.

The wording on the sentiment is shown at the side for information. The acetate did not photograph well, as it distorted in the photo.

Step Four

Using the Britannia Word Dies Sets 001 and 004, Cut out the “Happy Anniversary” sentiment in gold mirri card.

Make a tag for the sentiment, and add a ribbon tie.

This card comes as a blank with a matching envelope.
