These beautiful, chalky, satin finish Micas, can be used on most surfaces, from Acetate and Glossy card, to parchment, all other papers and card and glass, wax, and clay. They can even be used on metal. They are a water based product and can be diluted for a wash or spritzed application

Silkies come in glass bottles with a fixed brush applicator in the lid, just like nail varnish. This wedge brush gives really quick and easy application onto Chipboard and punched shapes, painting onto acetate, dabbing onto card and painting onto clay and glass

Silkies can be blended together in a palette or mixed together onto a non-stick mat.

Set 1 contains - Sunset Satin, Royal Satin, Apple Lace, and Sunshine Satin.

Instructions:

Painting Silkies on to Acetate
1. Silkies are perfect for painting on to acetate. Stamp or heat emboss an image or roll out a Rollagraph image onto acetate, paint it with the silkies

Sponging, Painting and Blending Silkies on to Glossy or Matt Card
1. To blend Silkies together, pour a little onto a non-stick craft mat and gently blend together with Sponge Daubers. Or sponge on a background colour, allow to dry, and then sponge over another colour. All colours can be blended together if wet
2. Ink up a roller or stamp with versamark, if you are going to heat emboss an image over the top or ink up with a permanent ink pad if you are going to stamp or roll over the background
3. Gel pens can be used over the Silkies when they are dry

Stamping with Silkies
1. Apply Silkies directly to rubber stamps and stamp out an image, allow to dry
2. If you want a shimmering water colour effect lightly spritz over the stamp and stamp onto card

Painting with Silkies
1. Silkies can be used to paint in any image. Pour a little into a palette and apply with a paint brush

Silkies on Chipboard and Punched Shapes
1. Silkies are perfect for colouring chipboard or punched shapes. Just paint on using the lid brush.

Embossing and Silkies
1. Stamp an image onto parchment, turn over, lightly dry emboss the image from the back and then apply a gentle wash of Silky colour, allow to dry thoroughly
2. You can heat emboss over Silkies as long as the base colour is thoroughly dry
